“In a Heartbeat” is a short 4 minute animated movie that is the kind of gay animated love story you had always wished you would have watched while growing up. This adorable movie is about a closeted boy who runs the risk of being outed by his own heart after it pops out of his chest to chase down the boy of his dreams. The movie was released on 31st July and has already garnered more than 2.5 Million views on Youtube.
“We never have the characters speak to persuade the audience of anything. We simply wanted to show the audience what growing up was like for us through this story about a sweet, red-headed boy who feels just as confused and scared about his feelings as we did. Hopefully, it’ll resonate with those who identify with this character – and for those who don’t, we hope they’ll gain an understanding for people who go through this experience,” the creators of the movie told Huffpost.
