Devdutt Pattanaik, renowned Mythologist and author of books like Shikhandi: And Other Queer Tales they Don’t Tell You, and The Pregnant King, has recently introduced a book titled I Am Divine So Are You: How Buddhism, Jainism, Sikhism and Hinduism Affirm the Dignity of Queer Identities and Sexualities. Devdutt explains how while researching for the new book, he came across various aspects of Karmic faiths which revealed how these faiths are not against alternate sexuality or gender identity, but instead are an ally to them.
