Facial hairs can be a big plus for some, and can enhance your personality. Many famous men are often also known by the style of their beard or moustache, whether it is Amitabh Bacchan’s French beard, or Anil Kapoor’s moustache. Other famous bollywood celebs too have experimented with different beard/moustache styles. Given that this is a no-shave month, we thought of presenting before you the different styles that some of the hottest men in bollywood have flaunted.
Ranveer Singh (Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram-Leela)
He may not have played a “Saneda” in the movie but the well grown beard and long pointed moustache was typically Guajarati rajputana fashion. Ranveer may have been one of the few actors to flaunt it most. “If it were left to me and I wasn’t playing characters I would have a full beard and long hair. Koi ek saal ki mujhe chhoot de de toh (if I’m given a year’s break then) I would end up with a beard and long hair,” Ranveer was quoted as saying.
Shah Rukh khan (Chak de India)
How would you describe that face? I’d say the guy left to the east coast of Amazon to shoot some discovery projects! ! That’s it! Apparently Shah Rukh was done with the whole beard look after the shooting. “A man and his beard are soon parted. Hair today, gone tomorrow. Kiss mode activated…no beard burns for the kids” he had tweeted.

Wouldn’t the dreaded assassin Kabir Wilson be a “turn on” himself? Was the Moustache makeover with a slight facial hair and slightly more growth essential to make his look seductive or was it just Bollywood’s stereo typicality to show assassin in all the manly fashion? Never mind, we ain’t complaining.
Aamir Khan (Talaash & Mangal Pandey)
“This can be in the list of the worst and most hurried hair and moustache designs onscreen,” said india.com. It may have been a typical mumbaiya police fashion but not every cop in town is supposed to have moustache! Not a fake one at least! In Mangal Pandey Aamir Khan flaunted a handle bar moustache. We are glad he got rid of those after the movie. Not everyone can carry a handlebar stache. Aamir certainly couldn’t.
Salman Khan (Dabangg Series)
The character of gay (hearted) cop, romancing Shotgun’s daughter in the typical Indian village setup was well sketched with pencil thin moustache.The bollywood heartthrob with mixed – good boy/bad boy image may have been desired clean shaven but Chulbul Pandey looks much younger (if not more handsome!) with signature style Dabangg mustache.
Farhan Akhtar (Bhaag Milkha Bhaag)
No wonder why the “all in one” Director, producer, writer, singer and actor & heir of Legendary Gazal Singer has all the awards in his kitty. The effort he has been putting in to make it to the top of the industry is really paying off! To portray the real life hero and Athlete Milkha Singh in an award winning biography, Farhan gets the Sikh beard, hair and moustache (Not to mention, He was trained for 2 years to get the iron body).
Shahid Kapoor (Haider)
Haider has been critically acclaimed for the right reasons, for presenting a narrative that mainstream media in India has conveniently ignored. Shahid Kapoor moved away from his chocolate boy looks, and got himself a beard to mould into the character. The neatly trimmed beard just added to the oomph factor of his good looks. GQ magazine featured the actor on its cover with the tagline “Ever so Cool”.
