Sisak, India’s first Silent LGBTQ Love Story, is winning hearts of people across the nation and is travelling to various cities. After a successful premiere in Delhi on 1st July, where the movie had two back to back houseful shows, Sisak will have its Kolkata premiere on 29th July.

Gaylaxy, which brought the movie to Delhi, is organising the Sisak screening in Kolkata at the city’s only queer cafe Amra Odhbut Cafe at Jadavpur. Given the limited seating capacity of the venue(45 seats), the movie will have four shows starting from 4:00 pm. Each screening of the movie will be followed by a half-hour Q&A session with the director Faraz Ansari.

Speaking about the reception that the movie received during its Delhi premiere, Faraz told Gaylaxy, “The reception in Delhi of Sisak was extremely overwhelming. Honestly, given that it was a rainy evening I didn’t expect such a massive turnout. But to see so many wonderful people who showed up in such huge numbers, asked such important questions and made it an affair to remember, it will go down as one of the most unforgettable evenings in Sisak’s journey.”

Regarding the Kolkata screening, Faraz seemed excited since it will be his first time in the city. “It’s my first time in Kolkata. I’ve only heard about the city and all the cinematically inclined people. I am more than excited to share Sisak with everyone who comes and really looking forward to the response and reactions,” he said

Sisak also had a special screening for the employees of Google in Gurgaon, and will be screened in Bengaluru on 19th July at at Church Street Social and on 20th again at Urban Solace.
