On 6th September 2018, Supreme Court of India decriminalised homosexuality. Many people had gather outside the Supreme Court in anticipation of the verdict. Gaylaxy was at the Supreme Court lawns and talked to them on what they expected from the verdict, and captured their reactions after the verdict. We also talked to people who had sat inside the courtroom to witness this historic judgement being read out to get a sense of the mood inside the courtroom. Danish Sheikh, a lawyer, explains what the verdict essentially means and how it could be used to in the fight of equal rights by LGBTQ community.
