As the debate on Section 377 heats up again in this country, with the Supreme Court about to hear the Curative Petition on February 2, people of the LGBT community have planned vigils in various cities across India on 31st January and 1st of February. The vigil is being organised to remind the courts that LGBT community is not a “miniscule minority” whose rights can be snatched away, and to demand an equal and just society.

Vigils have been planned in Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Guwahati, Ahmedabad, Chennai, Imphal and Hyderabad. Details of these events are:
