Akhil Kang is a dalit and queer activist. With his childhood spent in Jalandhar, Akhil moved cities due to his father’s transferable job. He has been vocal about his identities as both gay and dalit. In this video, Akhil shares how he came out to his parents and family, their reaction to it, and his own journey of asserting his dalit identity in queer spaces.
