Khirki Extension and Malviya Nagar has been in controversy with the latest outbreak of racism against Nigerians. To drag the matters more worse, the Residents Welfare Association (RWA) has been circulating pamphlets alarming the residents against renting out to Nigerians and transgenders.

This circular, dated 10/1/2014, was brought to notice by Praja Rajakiya Vedike (PRV) after recent harassment posed to Nigerians in the same locality by local goons and failure of the administration to provide adequate security to the foreigners. Such racism and phobia against transgender community has drawn much disgust.

The RWA letter bears strong statements seeking cooperation from the residents to keep control on the flow of Nigerians and transgenders. The circular condescended to this extent that it asks house owners not to rent their property to these people. In the same pamphlet the RWA brags their achievements of killing the mosquitoes, building roads and installing CCTV cameras. It seems that RWA looks at the Nigerians and trangenders as something which needs to be fixed along with the roads and the street lights,” PRV posted on their Facebook page.

On being contacted for a response, no one from RWA was ready to comment and disconnected the call on.
