This Documentary on Queer Love in India has been produced by Doordarshan and PSBT

In_The_Mood for love

PSBT (Public Service Broadcasting Trust, India), a non-governemntal and not-for-profit trust that is primarily funded by Prasar Bharati, India’s national public broadcaster via its television wing Doordarshan (DD), will be hosting the annual Open Frame Film Festival from 18th-22 September at India International Centre, New Delhi. PSBT produces 60+ independent documentary films a year. One among the many that the produced this year is In the Mood for Love. The documentary is directed by Sandeep Kr. Singh & Aakriti Kohli, alumni of Tata Institute of Social Sciences, Mumbai; and was commissioned by PSBT in collaboration with Doordarshan.

In The Mood For Love explores queer love and relationships, togetherness, love, sexuality and illegality in India. It documents stories of individuals who turn an inward gaze and reflect on themselves, the community and the movement. Foregrounding their lives and work, it explores their negotiations with everyday realities.
